Best lawn service ever. They always show up on the day scheduled and do a great job. I also appreciate the offers for leaf removal and cutting down a small tree in my back yard after the first hard snowstorm. I highly recommend this company for your lawn care needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I’ve used Heartland now for 4 years and they’re great! Their work is the best! If I ever have any issue with a treatment not working for my grass the owner himself would come out and re-apply the treatment. My lawn never looked better! Not to mention they have extremely good rates with their treatment plan. I highly recommend them to anyone!!!

I started using Heartland within the last year and am impressed by how reliable and great they are to work with. If it rains on your mowing day, they make sure you are taken care of the next morning! Great customer service, on a personal level while still fully professional. Their prices are low compared to competitors and still do just as good of a job! I'd highly recommend their services!

Nobody wants fleas and ticks all over their yard, but, unfortunately, they are a common problem for many homeowners in the area. As the weather gets warmer, pets and children who are regularly running around and playing in your yard are at risk of being bitten. If a bite occurs, particularly on a furry pet, the chances of a flea or tick infestation finding its way inside your home increase significantly. Our flea and tick control treatments will help you fight back against these pests so that you and your loved ones can feel safe at home this spring and summer.
Heartland’s outdoor flea and tick prevention program sets its sights on preventing and removing any flea and/or tick populations that may exist on your property. By using safe and effective products and implementing field-tested strategies, we are confident that we can bring you some of the best pest control services in Kansas City and the surrounding areas. In just a few easy steps, we will take your yard from a potential flea and tick breeding ground to the safe, clean outdoor living space that it should be!
Being almost imperceptible to the naked eye, fleas are much more dangerous than their small stature would suggest. Common yard animals, like squirrels, can carry fleas onto your property. Once fleas find a home in your yard, they will jump onto dogs’ paws, kids’ shoes, or any other low and warm host on which they can feed. Their primary food source is blood, and a bite from a flea will not only cause an irritating welt, it may also transfer any number of dangerous diseases. Fleas also breed and lay eggs on their hosts,
which then slide off and continue to develop in your lawn’s soil. As easily as fleas can jump onto new hosts and be brought indoors, a flea infestation will spread to carpets, closets, furniture, and many more areas of your home if you do not treat the infestation immediately.
Unlike fleas, ticks are not able to lay eggs directly on their hosts. In order for a female tick to begin the reproductive process, it must detach from whatever host it is on. However, ticks will bite and latch onto the same kind of hosts as fleas, and they will lay their eggs inside your home and in your yard. Though they do not jump onto their hosts, ticks will wait on the edge of grass blades and transfer to any warm body that brushes against them. Once they find a host, they will bite and feed on the blood of that host until they are full. Ticks must be completely nourished by a host’s blood at each of their life stages in order to mature, making them aggressive biters and transmitters of disease. Lyme disease is commonly spread by ticks, and it can be severe and even lead to death in rare cases.
One of the biggest misconceptions of effective flea control is that by treating your animal that will solve the flea infestation problem. Pill or Oil Based flea control medicine for pets is primarily designed to kill an adult biting flea after it bites your pet. So without other flea control your pet would have to be bit by all the fleas in order to kill them all but one of the problems with that is those adult fleas have already laid eggs and the cycle will continue without an effective flea control service.
When you discover a flea problem, time is of the essence. Heartland Turf & Landscape understands that fast and effective flea control services are what is required to protect you and your pets from fleas outside of your home. When you call Heartland Turf & Landscape we will quickly schedule an initial flea treatment by one of our professional flea control technicians.
Effective tick control starts with a comprehensive evaluation of your property and identifies the areas where ticks are likely to inhabit. Then we apply tick control treatments to your lawn and landscape and any other area ticks would love to call home. We then move to tick prevention services by applying a barrier treatment around the edge of your property to stop migrating ticks. We then provide ongoing tick maintenance monthly during the tick season. Our customers consistently enjoy a virtual tick-free outdoor space all season long.
Ticks are small eight-legged parasites that prey on almost any living person, pet, or animal found in your yard. You don’t want them to make your home their home because they are know to carry serious and sometimes deadly diseases. Effective tick treatment for your yard is essential to protecting you and your pets.
Although ticks are known for carrying many diseases like Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Borrelia Mayonii and many others the most popular and most common is Lyme Disease. In order to control fleas outside of your home you will need a comprehensive flea control strategy based on the extent of the infestation. When we spray for fleas we use a process that is designed to not only kill the adult fleas but also targets flea eggs and flea larvae with an insect growth regulator which prevents the maturity of a flea, the IGR keeps the flea from developing into the adult jumping, biting, and most importantly reproducing flea. Although we use a comprehensive approach to flea control outdoors , recurring services are required during the flea season because new fleas are constantly being introduced to your outdoor space from a variety of wildlife including squirrels.
Many people do not think about flea and tick control when it comes to lawn care, but applying this type of treatment to your lawn is the most effective way to prevent a dangerous bite from occurring. Pet medicines designed for flea and tick control will only kill the adult bug and/or the eggs of a flea; there is no medicine that can prevent a flea or tick from biting you and your family. Heartland Turf & Landscape offers consistent treatments and eradication of these pests so that you don’t have to worry about being bitten in the first place! We even offer other pest control services to take care of mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches, wasps, or whatever other bugs may be invading your space. If you need top-quality flea and tick control in Kansas, then you need Heartland!
